> LAB TECH: San Juan Hospital
San Juan Hospital Laboratory is seeking a dedicated, highly motivated person able to adapt in an exciting, fast-changing, healthcare work environment. This position requires a person that has experience working in a clinical laboratory including blood bank. The person will be responsible to perform routine and stat laboratory testing, collect sample specimens, perform phlebotomy for venous and arterial blood, run required quality control testing, take appropriate corrective actions, and maintain required documentation. Candidate performs preventative maintenance and calibration of laboratory instruments, participates in proficiency testing and achieves satisfactory scores in all areas of the lab. Candidate needs to have computer system experience using a laboratory information system or electronic medical record. A bachelor of science degree in chemical, physical, biological science or medical technology/clinical laboratory science; or an associate of science degree in medical technology/clinical laboratory science; or equivalent education and training is required, MT/MLS/MLT certification is preferred. This position is full-time with benefits. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, 401K and 457 retirement programs, shift differential, on-call and call-back pay, call-back travel pay if living outside Monticello city limits. San Juan Health is looking for highly motivated, professional physicians committed to providing excellent caring, compassionate service to a wide variety of patients living in and around San Juan County in southeastern Utah. The scope of practice ranges from newborn to geriatric care in both the inpatient and outpatient setting. Some specialty outreach services are offered on a regular basis.
San Juan Health is a county owned, special service district which consists of: San Juan Hospital, a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital located in Monticello, Utah; San Juan Clinic Monticello, located on the same campus as the hospital; and San Juan Clinic Blanding, located 22 miles away in Blanding, Utah. Physicians practicing for the District have the ability to provide care in areas of Obstetrics, Emergency care, General Inpatient and Outpatient care, Skilled care, Palliative care, Critical care (with oversight thru telehealth), and Pediatric care. Physicians also have on site specialty consultation with Orthopedics, General Surgery, Gynecology, Cardiology, and Audiology. Telehealth systems include: Tele-Critical Care, Tele-Stroke, Tele-Burn and Tele-Radiology.
Minimum Requirements include: Graduation with a degree of Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy and completion of an approved internship/residency in Family Practice. Unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Utah, board eligible/board certified. Obstetrical and Emergency department experience preferred. BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS required within six months of hire. NHSC and State loan repayment options available along with excellent benefits, moving expenses and sign on bonuses.
