San Juan Health is guided by four pillars and the first one is that we will strive to be the best place to receive care. We are passionate about this pillar and have been for almost 75 years. We believe in rural America and that those of us that live here should have access to quality and compentent care. This is what we strive for in our health system.
In 2019, San Juan Hospital was recognized as a top 20 rural hospital in the nation for patient satisfaction by the National Rural Health Association. We are very proud of the efforts of our staff who have contributed to the hospital achieving this designation and we will continue to chase perfection when it comes to serving the healthcare needs in our area.

I decided to get the gastric sleeve surgery in December 2018 at San Juan Hospital performed by Dr. La Giglia. It was one of the most important and significant health decisions I have ever made for myself. I have now lost 150 pounds, lowered my blood pressure, and greatly reduced my risk for diabetes.
I was a little apprehensive when I saw the small, older brick building as the hospitals in northern Virginia where I’m from are large, modern, expensive buildings. The staff here was incredibly warm, approachable, thorough, and caring. I am very happy that I trusted these people with my health.
I cannot say enough good about this walk in clinic. Dr. Crofts, the nurses, technicians and office staff all exhibited professionalism and a very caring manner. Dr. Crofts exuded confidence and immediately made me feel at ease and that I would receive excellent care. Big thanks to all of them for squeezing me in and taking care of me.
I think that both the clinic and the hospital are staffed by professional, caring people. I have been treated well at both places and highly recommend them both.
We love them. They get you in quick–they are caring, attentive, and just amazing.
