Overview

The surgery team at San Juan Health is seeking an ambitious person to fill the position of surgery (i.e. scrub) tech. The surgery tech prepares the sterile field, performs surgical counts, assists surgeons, maintains aseptic technique, and cleans rooms, instruments, and scopes after each case. The tech also maintains central sterile for the surgery department and assists in ordering supplies and maintains pick lists in Cerner (our EMR). Individual must take call for emergent surgeries on a rotating basis.

Minimum Requirements

The candidate must have at least a high school diploma and previous medical experience is preferred. Applicant will be professional, HIPAA-conscious, and detail-oriented.
