Surgery Administrative Assistant

Overview

San Juan Health is looking for a responsible administrative assistant to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks specific to our surgery department. The primary responsibility of this position is obtaining prior authorizations from insurance companies for planned procedures so prior insurance and medical terminology experience is preferred.

Minimum Requirements

The applicant must have a high school diploma and be efficient in all forms of communication and be very detail-oriented. The applicant will also be expected to perform a wide range of other office duties and should be organized and have a working knowledge of basic office management and office equipment. In addition, the applicant will maintain confidences as required by healthcare and HIPAA law.

This is a full-time position.
