Spanish Valley Clinic


San Juan Health is seeking a full-time pharmacist to oversee a new retail pharmacy in conjunction with the Spanish Valley Clinic that will be opening in late fall of 2021.

Pharmacists are an integral part of a complete healthcare team by responsibly dispensing prescribed medications and helping patients understand proper usage and side effects. These medication experts help maximize positive health outcomes and improve the quality of their patients’ lives through patient counseling and careful quality control.

The clinical pharmacist will oversee all operations of the pharmacy as directed by our lead pharmacist, as well as:

  • Provide pharmaceutical consultation for the on-site providers and the patients.
  • Screen prescriptions and provide orders for accuracy, drug interactions and therapeutic appropriateness
  • Direct procurement, storage, and control of pharmacy drugs. 

This person must be self-motivated, detail oriented, have effective verbal and written communication skills, and leadership ability.

Minimum Requirements

  • B.S. or PharmD from accredited School of Pharmacy.
  • Active Utah pharmacy license in good standing.
  • Preferred 3+ years of pharmacist experience.
  • 340B Program experience.
  • Supervisory/management experience.
