San Juan Health is looking for highly motivated, professional physicians committed to providing excellent, caring, and compassionate service to a wide variety of patients living in and around San Juan County in southeastern Utah.  The scope of practice ranges from newborn to geriatric care in both the inpatient and outpatient setting.  Some specialty outreach services are offered on a regular basis. 

San Juan Health is a county-owned, special service district which consists of San Juan Hospital (a 25-bed critical access hospital located in Monticello), San Juan Clinic Monticello (constructed in 2011 and located on the same campus as the hospital), and San Juan Clinic Blanding (constructed in 2018 and located 22 miles south in Blanding).

Physicians practicing for the us have the ability to provide care in areas of Obstetrics, Emergency care, General Inpatient and Outpatient care, Skilled care, Palliative care, Critical care (with oversight thru telehealth), and Pediatric care.  Physicians also have on site specialty consultation with Orthopedics, General Surgery, Gynecology, Cardiology, and Audiology. Telehealth systems include:  teleccu, telestroke, teleburn and teleradiology.

Minimum Requirements

Graduation with a degree of Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy and completion of an approved internship/residency in Family Practice. 

Unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Utah, board eligible/board certified.  Obstetrical and emergency department experience preferred.  BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS required within six months of hire.
